Extraction methods and steps of titanium zirconium ore

Titanium zirconium ore is a type of ore containing titanium and zirconium elements, widely used in aviation, aerospace, military, chemical and other fields. There are many methods for extracting titanium zirconium ore, and below we will introduce a simple and feasible method.

1、 Material preparation

1. Titanium zirconium ore: Select high-quality and high content titanium zirconium ore, with a particle size requirement of less than 3mm.

2. Sodium hydroxide: used for alkali leaching of ores to extract titanium and zirconium.

3. Sulfuric acid: used for acid leaching of slag, extracting titanium and zirconium.

4. Aluminium chloride: used for aluminum leaching of slag to extract aluminum.

5. Pure water: used for washing ores and slag.

2、 Extraction steps

1. Alkaline leaching of ore

Put the titanium zirconium ore into the reaction kettle, add proper amount of sodium hydroxide and water, heat it to 70 ℃, and react for 2 hours. After the reaction, the substances in the reactor are filtered to obtain the titanium zirconium ore leaching solution.

2. Acid leaching of titanium zirconium ore leaching solution

Put the titanium zirconium ore leaching solution into the reaction kettle, add appropriate sulfuric acid and water, heat it to 90 ℃, and react for 4 hours. After the reaction, the substances in the reactor are filtered to obtain the titanium zirconium ore leaching solution.

3. Aluminum leaching of titanium zirconium ore leaching solution

Put the titanium zirconium ore leaching solution into the reaction kettle, add appropriate amount of Aluminium chloride and water, heat it to 90 ℃, and react for 4 hours. After the reaction, the substances in the reactor are filtered to obtain slag and mineral liquid.

4. Sedimentation of mineral solution

Put the ore solution into the sedimentation tank, add an appropriate amount of ammonium chloride and water, and stir evenly. After sedimentation, the supernatant is placed in an evaporation kettle, heated to 100 ℃, and the water is evaporated to obtain the titanium zirconium ore extract.

5. Treatment of slag

Put the slag into the reaction kettle, add proper amount of sodium hydroxide and water, heat it to 70 ℃, and react for 2 hours. After the reaction, the substances in the reactor are filtered to obtain the titanium zirconium ore leaching solution. Treat the titanium zirconium ore leaching solution according to steps 2 and 3 to obtain more titanium zirconium ore extracts.

3、 Precautions

1. Wear gloves and protective glasses during operation to avoid chemical irritation to the skin and eyes.
